Maj Hildur Elisabeth Mårtensson was born on May 16, 1926, in Sundsjö, Sweden
Her father was Mr. Norrman Bloom and mother Anna Elisabeth Norman.

Her mother, Anna Elisabeth, was originally from Presland, Norway,
born on August 12, 1893.
Maj had two siblings: Astrid Götilda and Harry.

During her childhood, Maj lived in several places across Jämtland, Sweden.
Between 1924 and 1932, she resided in Stamnäs, Sundsjö. From 1929 to 1938,
she lived in Mårdsjön, Stugun, where she spent her formative years.

Maj married twice in her lifetime.
Her first marriage was to Mårten Olof Mårtensson,
born on February 27, 1922, in Frösö.
Maj and "Olle" had two sons: Mikael and Stig Owe Mårten.
She then married Oddvar Salseng, born on June 29, 1932, in Askim.
Together, they had a daughter named Nina Helene.
After Oddvar's passing on June 17, 1996, 
Maj lived a full life and spended much time at CasaMaj in Nerja.
She passed away the 6th of may, 2019, at the age of 92 in Årjäng, Sweden.
